WOMEN EMPOWERMENT CELL

Women Empowerment refers to the ability of women to make decisions regarding their life, education, and employment, as well as the granting of equal rights in all domains, such as personal, social, economic, political, and legal. Injustice, gender bias and inequalities cannot be removed without women empowerment.

Women Empowerment is active in the college to empower girl students and women staff members to enhance understanding of issues related to women and to make the college campus a safe place for them. The cell functions arduously to enhance their status and thereby empower them through Guest Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, various awareness programs and other

welfare activities. The Cell aims to create a gender sensitized community within campus as well as in the society. It has been organizing varied academic, technical, medical, cultural and social events for the upliftment of women and spread the real importance of gender equality in the society through College students.

Activities:

• Conducts International Women's Day Celebration by honoring the distinguished women in the society, students by issuingWomen Achiever Award every year.
• Organizing Gender Equality and Gender Sensitization Seminars
• Organizing workshops on Mehandi, Makeup Tutorials, Flower Arrangements and etc.
• Regularly conducting various competitions such as Rangoli, Cooking, Fashion Styling and etc.
• Impart spirituality through by organizingKuthuvillaku Pooja and Rendering Slogans towards devotional perspective.
